Community of Practice

Join our next Mindfulness & Creativity drop-in for a mini-retreat - a chance to come together in practice. For most of the class, I'll guide us through meditations - in stillness and in movement - then we'll spend some time discussing our experience, and how these meditation practices could play a role in fostering creativity.

Quiet forest

One avenue we may explore is how mindfulness and creativity can both teach us how to meet uncertainty:

“Living is a form of not being sure, not knowing what next or how...The artist never entirely knows. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark.”

- Agnes de Mille

“Nothing ever sums itself up in the way that we like to dream about. The off-center, in-between state is an ideal situation, a situation in which we don’t get caught and we can open our hearts and minds beyond limit.”

- Pema Chodron
